Use of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics Tools
We use Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) and data analytics tools to support internal operations, including identifying customer patterns, improving efficiency, improving our operations, service delivery and business planning, and informing business decisions. We use predominantly commercial and account-level data for these purposes. Our use of AI is subject to the following:
• AI is used to support our internal business operations and related service improvement activities;
• We do not use AI to make solely automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects; and
• When AI-supported analysis is used in connection with customer accounts or internal business planning, those outputs are reviewed by authorized personnel and are not treated as the sole basis for material business decisions affecting customer relationships. For instance, we may use AI to analyze aggregated information to understand purchasing and product demand trends, evaluate operational performance, improve inventoryplanning and supply chain decisions, assess customer needs across industries or regions, and enhance the effectiveness of our sales and service strategies.
• Additionally, we may use third-party service providers that incorporate AI capabilities to support our activities. In such cases, we maintain appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards in accordance with our contractual obligations and applicable law.
